Attendance Procedures and Guidelines
A student’s absence must be called in on the day of the absence and must be repeated each day of the absence. There is a 24-hour recording service if you are not able to call during school hours. The direct phone number is 262-534-3150.
If a phone call is not received with 24 hours to report the absence, it is interpreted that the student is not excused from school and is considered truant.

Per school board policy, parents have the opportunity to excuse their student up to ten school days per year. If the number of school days missed exceeds ten, a meeting with the Dean of Students will be scheduled and further absences will require documentation supporting the reason of the absence. Documented medical appointments, family funeral, court appearance, or pre-excused absences do not count against the ten days.
Students are encouraged to use the Pre-Excused Absence form if they know they will have to miss school for an extended time period. This will inform the teachers and office of the absence and the student will have the opportunity to receive the homework that will be missed during their absence. This form may be picked up in the attendance office or can also be downloaded HERE. Pre-Excused Absence forms must be turned into the attendance office at least two days before the absence.
